The HPS Performance 827 Series Air Intake Kit is a direct-fit, short ram intake system crafted for 2000-2005 Volkswagen Jetta MK4 and 2000-2006 Volkswagen Golf GTI models equipped with the 1.8T engine. Constructed from lightweight, polished 2-3/4 inch mandrel-bent aluminum alloy tubing, this kit replaces the restrictive factory air box to optimize airflow and deliver enhanced performance. The system is designed to produce dyno-proven gains of up to +7.8 Whp and +7 Ft-lbs of torque, while also improving throttle response. It features heavy-duty powder-coated steel heat shields that integrate with the factory fresh air scoop to ensure cool air reaches the included HPS Performance air filter. The kit utilizes reinforced silicone hoses and 100% stainless steel T-bolt clamps for durability and reliability under extreme conditions. Crucially, this intake kit does not require post-installation tuning and will not trigger a Check Engine Light (CEL). The package includes all necessary mounting hardware and a detailed installation manual with clear instructions. The HPS Performance Air Filter is washable and reusable, ensuring long-term service. This product is not legal for sale or use in California and is not TUV approved for Europe.
