The HPS Performance 827 Series Air Intake Kit, designed for the 2012-2019 Toyota Tundra 5.7L V8, offers a significant upgrade over the stock restrictive air box. It features a 4-inch mandrel-bent aluminum tube in a red finish, engineered for optimal airflow and heat dissipation. This system includes a heavy-duty powder-coated steel heat shield to isolate the air filter from engine bay heat, ensuring cooler air intake temperatures for improved performance. This short-ram intake is engineered to deliver dyno-proven gains of +12.4 whp and +17.6 ft-lbs of torque, alongside enhanced throttle response. The included HPS Performance Air Filter is a washable and reusable woven cotton element made in the USA, designed to trap dirt down to 5 microns while allowing superior airflow. The filter’s oil is specially formulated not to affect or damage sensors. The kit comes with a detailed installation manual with clear pictures. However, this intake system is NOT CARB compliant.
