Description

The HPS Performance 827 Series Shortram Air Intake Kit (Part # 827-611) is engineered to boost performance for the 2004-2009 Mazda B4000 4.0L V6. This system replaces the stock restrictive air box with a lightweight, mandrel-bent aluminum alloy tube, optimizing airflow for improved efficiency and durability. The kit includes a heavy-duty, powder-coated steel heat shield that effectively blocks hot air from the air filter, ensuring a cooler intake charge for maximum performance gains. Dyno testing has shown an increase of up to +18.3 horsepower and +17.5 ft-lbs of torque, along with enhanced throttle response. Installation is straightforward, with no modifications or tuning required, and it does not trigger a Check Engine Light (CEL). This air intake kit is specifically designed for the 2004-2009 Mazda B4000 4.0L V6 models, including SE, DS, and Base trims. It is important to note that this product is not CARB exempt and is therefore not legal for sale or use in California on any pollution-controlled motor vehicle.
