82mm Competition Plenum

The IPD 82mm Competition Plenum is designed to enhance the performance of the 996 Porsche 911 Carrera and Carrera S models (2000-2004, 3.4L and 3.6L F6 engines). It utilizes an innovative, patented “Y” design that channels air more effectively to each cylinder bank, reducing turbulence and increasing airflow velocity. This unique design delivers substantial power gains across the entire RPM band, providing both impressive horsepower and torque increases. The Plenum also creates a smoother, more linear power and torque curve, enhancing overall drivability and improving shift responsiveness for Tiptronic users. It is designed to work with Porsche's 82mm 997 GT3 throttle body, meaning it is not compatible with the factory 74mm throttle body and requires an upgraded unit. The product is optimized to perform best when paired with high-performance exhaust systems, including headers, catalytic converters, and mufflers. Balancing optimized air intake and exhaust creates a well-rounded performance package that allows the engine to intake and expel more air, thus generating additional power and torque. Full power improvements are realized after the factory ECU/DME completes its adaptation process, which can be accelerated by performing spirited acceleration runs. Installation of this plenum is highly recommended to be performed by qualified and trained Porsche technicians.
