The SpeedFactory Racing BC5018B crankshaft is constructed from 4340 steel billet, a robust material chosen for high-performance applications. This component undergoes a comprehensive multi-step heat treatment process, which includes stress relieving, shot peening, magna flux inspection, and nitriding to ensure maximum durability and performance under demanding conditions. The crankshaft features a stroke of 84.4mm, a 45mm rod journal, and a 55mm main journal. This design element minimizes oil resistance, thereby improving the engine's potential to reach higher RPMs. When considering a stroker kit that includes this crankshaft, note that components such as ACL Race bearings are sold separately.
