The 3M 8424-8 is an 8-inch black EPDM low voltage splice designed for splicing insulated wires and cables up to 1kV. It is compatible with wire sizes ranging from 10 AWG to 1/0 AWG (2.5mm² to 20.9mm²). The splice features a 2:1 shrink ratio, reducing from an initial inner diameter of 0.823 inches to 0.098 inches after heat application.

Constructed from durable EPDM material, this splice meets ANSI C119.1 standards. It is sold 10 per case and is suitable for connectors with an outer diameter up to 0.82 inches and a length up to 3 inches. The operating temperature range is from -40°F to 194°F.
