The Kirkey Racing 85 Series Seat Kit is a high-performance aluminum containment seat featuring a 10-degree layback and a black upholstered cover. Constructed from durable aluminum, this seat boasts a three-piece design that allows for significant adjustability. It provides 4 inches of total vertical adjustment, with 3 inches in the torso and 1 inch for the head restraint. The head restraint itself offers 2 inches of forward-to-aft adjustment and rotates for improved peripheral vision, ensuring a tailored fit for each driver. The bottom is contoured and elongated to support hips and thighs, while padded upholstery with a built-in leg separator offers stability during high-G cornering. Low-rebound, high-impact padding is standard on the bottom and rib supports, and the redesigned shoulder restraint provides increased arm clearance. Improvements over previous models include a better-fitting three-piece design that reduces the need for custom seats, an extended bottom with enhanced padding, and better hip fitment to eliminate dead air pockets. The seat also features repositioned belt openings and vertical shoulder adjustment for optimal belt positioning. Reinforced shoulders with a square tube increase strength and offer optional mounting points. Connector brackets use nut certs for simplified assembly and adjustment, and increased vertical, lateral, and rotational head adjustments enhance driver comfort and safety. Upholstered, energy-absorbing padding on the headrest minimizes vibrations. Note that seat mounts are not included and must be purchased separately.
