Description

The United Engine & Machine Co KB408C.040 is a standard OEM replacement piston kit for Harley-Davidson Sportster XL883 models from 1986 to 2020. This kit features a flat-top piston designed for a 9.0:1 compression ratio and is sized at 0.040 inches over standard bore.

The piston is constructed from hypereutectic cast aluminum with a T6 heat treatment and 16% silicone content for enhanced durability and reduced noise. It is designed to be used with a 6.926-inch connecting rod and has a compression height of 1.210 inches.
