Description

The ARP 135-3601 is a high-performance cylinder head bolt kit engineered for Big Block Chevy engines, including models such as the 396, 402, 427, and 454. These bolts are crafted from durable 8740 chrome moly with a corrosion-resistant black oxide finish and feature a 6-point hex head for secure tightening. Engineered for enhanced reliability, these ARP bolts boast a tensile strength of 180,000 PSI, which is 15% stronger than standard Grade 8 fasteners. This superior strength ensures a secure and stable clamping force for cylinder heads under demanding conditions. The kit includes hardened parallel-ground washers to provide a uniform load distribution. Designed with practicality in mind, the flanged head on these bolts eliminates the need for valve train removal to facilitate cylinder head retorquing.
