The ARP 154-3601 is a high-performance cylinder head bolt kit engineered for Ford 289 and 302 engines. This kit is specifically designed to work with OEM or aftermarket cylinder heads that feature the correct 7/16 inch bolt holes, including Edelbrock heads 60259 and 60379. Constructed from premium 8740 chrome moly steel, these bolts boast a tensile strength of 180,000 PSI, which is 15% stronger than Grade 8 fasteners. ARP utilizes a special heat-treating process and thread rolling after heat-treat, resulting in superior fatigue strength compared to many competitors. The black oxide finish provides corrosion resistance, and the hex head style allows for efficient installation. Each kit includes twenty 7/16 inch hex head bolts (both long and short styles) and twenty hardened, parallel-ground washers to ensure proper clamping force and even load distribution. This comprehensive set is ideal for replacing worn-out original hardware or upgrading from factory components for enhanced reliability. It is important to note that this bolt set is NOT compatible with 351W / 5.8L engines or Ford Performance BOSS 302 blocks that feature 1/2 inch bolt holes.
