8789 MUSTANG CLASSIC UPDATE KIT

The American Autowire 510547 Classic Update Series Wiring Kit is designed for 1987-1989 Ford Mustang models. This comprehensive wiring kit aims to reduce clutter, making it suitable for street/strip builds, aftermarket fuel injection, or late-model engine swaps. It rewires the vehicle from headlight to taillight, accommodates popular add-on items, and simplifies the Foxbody chassis harness. The kit includes an updated ATC fuse panel with modern GXL wire, a custom fuse panel mounting bracket, and a pre-built dash harness with a gauge cluster disconnect system for aftermarket instrument clusters. Extra-long leads are provided for engine and front light harness for custom routing, along with pre-built rear body and front light wiring with quick disconnects. A 175 amp mega fuse kit with a 6 gauge charge cable is included for high output charging systems and internally regulated alternators. It also features built-in horn relay and flashers, and plug-and-play connectors for turn signal, ignition, wiper, and high beam switches. The dash harness is pre-wired to support the factory HVAC control head, though some connectors must be salvaged from the original harness. New door jamb switches are also included.
