The Soler Performance SE8223-087 adapter bridges the gap between larger throttle bodies and existing intake systems, specifically designed for 87 mm or Soler Performance 91 mm throttle bodies to mate with 80 mm L83 stock manifolds or aftermarket superchargers. Engineered for 3rd and 4th Gen GM Trucks and SUVs equipped with the 5.3L V8 engines, this adapter prioritizes precise positioning and smooth airflow. Its self-centering OEM screw pattern design ensures the throttle body, adapter, and manifold/supercharger bores are concentric. The efficient tapered transition eliminates steps in the flow path, minimizing pressure losses. A military/aerospace-grade sealing gland design utilizes a low-compression set silicone seal to guarantee durability and reliable function over time, preventing excessive O-ring squeeze that can lead to performance degradation. Constructed with durable, corrosion-resistant hardware, this adapter also features a unique clocking of the throttle body 10 degrees counter-clockwise (when viewed from the front). This design helps to avoid potential interference issues between the throttle body blade and snout, preventing the blade from getting stuck. The adapter is offered as a perfect match for users upgrading from an 80 mm (L83) stock manifold or supercharger to a larger 87 mm or Soler Performance 91 mm throttle body.
