The CG Motorsport 888 Series Twin Plate 184 Supersport Clutch Kit is a performance-oriented clutch system designed for demanding motorsport applications like circuit racing, rallying, and hill climbing. It utilizes a robust one-piece aluminum alloy cover and lug design, which not only provides exceptional structural strength but also contributes to lower inertia and improved cooling by allowing friction dust to escape freely. This comprehensive kit includes a twin-plate cover, top and bottom intermediate plates, and a choice of either sintered paddle or cerametallic paddle drive plates, depending on the required stack height. The drive plate options enable much more aggressive driving and gear changes, supporting torque capacities of up to 650 lb-ft. The kit also features a balanced and lightened flywheel, which comes pre-assembled for a plug-and-play installation, minimizing setup time. Unlimited choices for drive plate spline sizes are available to ensure compatibility with various setups. Constructed with a 6-bolt, one-piece cover and lugs machined from high-strength aluminum alloy, the clutch is finished with a bronze hard anodized coating for durability. Each unit is individually tested to ensure quality and performance. It's important to note that the twin-disk clutch kit requires a solid flywheel, which may introduce some harmonically transmitted noises during operation. While these noises are normal and acceptable in motorsport contexts, they are typically masked by a dual-mass flywheel and can be more noticeable with a single-mass setup.
