The AA Performance Products VW Piston & Cylinder Set, also referred to as pistons and liners, is engineered for the Volkswagen Type-1 engine, offering enhanced durability for stock replacement and certain performance applications. This set features hypereutectic cast pistons, which are notably stronger than common cast aluminum types, providing a robust solution for engine rebuilds. Key dimensions include an 88mm bore, 69mm stroke, 39.50mm compression height, 22mm wrist pin diameter, 98mm cylinder head bore, and a 90mm engine case bore. This set is intended to produce approximately 1700cc displacement. It is important to note that these hypereutectic pistons are not recommended for high horsepower naturally aspirated, nitrous, supercharged, or turbo applications. Furthermore, installation requires machine work to be performed on the engine case and cylinder heads before the set can be properly fitted. The product is considered a universal part, adaptable to various applications through modification, and buyers should verify their specific project needs before purchase.
