The Supertech P4-DU88-P1 piston set is engineered for high-performance Ford and Mazda 2.3L engine applications, delivering consistent strength under demanding conditions. Each piston is manufactured from an extruded 4032 alloy enhanced with copper, nickel, and magnesium to minimize thermal expansion while maximizing wear resistance and heat dissipation. The forging process utilizes a two or three-step method to develop a fine structural grain, which is then precision-machined on CNC equipment to ensure tight tolerances. Technical features include a 12.5:1 compression ratio, +1.5cc dome volume, and a 1.122-inch compression height. To enhance operational longevity, the pistons include contact reduction grooves, reamed and honed pin bores, and cold-extruded chrome moly steel wrist pins secured by wire clip locks. Compatibility includes the 2005-2008 Ford Escape, 2003-2015 Ford Focus, 2006-2009 Ford Fusion, 2007-2012 Mazda CX-7, 2004-2013 Mazda 3, 2007-2010 Mazda 5, 2003-2007 Mazda 6, and 2005-2008 Mazda Tribute. These performance components are designed to withstand high-output environments, having been tested to handle up to 42psi of boost in specific racing configurations.
