The Taylor Cable 64628 is an 8mm High Energy ignition wire set engineered for a precise fit on 1987-96 GM Small Block V8 engines equipped with Throttle Body Injection. Designed to match Original Equipment (OE) wire sets in length and boot configuration, these custom wires offer a lower resistance of 5,000 ohms per foot. This reduced resistance allows for increased voltage delivery to the spark plugs, potentially leading to improved horsepower, torque, and fuel mileage. Constructed with an 8.0mm outer silicone blend jacket, these wires are heat resistant up to 600° Fahrenheit, and the silicone inner core provides additional thermal protection. The carbon resistance core also serves to eliminate Radio Frequency Interference (RFI) and Electromagnetic Interference (EMI), preventing disruption to onboard electronics and audio systems. These wires are available exclusively in blue and feature high-temperature silicone boots with double spring lock spark plug terminals for a secure connection.
