The CTS Turbo 8V/8Y RS3 2.5T EVO Race Intercooler is engineered to significantly outperform the OEM intercooler, providing a substantial improvement for both stock boost levels and tuned applications. This intercooler is designed using the latest 3D scanning technology and features an efficient bar and plate construction, complemented by internal air-directing fins that ensure smooth airflow and minimize pressure drop, leading to increased horsepower and torque. Constructed from cast aluminum end tanks for superior flow and durability, this intercooler has been subjected to extensive quality control and pressure tested up to 50psi. Installation of the 8V RS3 model requires the removal of the OEM crash bar and trimming of the plastic radiator support. For the 8Y RS3, trimming of the plastic radiator supports is necessary, but the OEM crash bar will work with this intercooler. Both versions are designed as a complete replacement for the restrictive factory part and attach seamlessly to factory hoses.
