8V Hydro Lifter Camshaft 226/225 .440" Lift

The Techtonics 8V Hydro Lifter Camshaft (268° - Street/Sport) offers a broad and usable powerband, providing a noticeable upgrade for your vehicle's performance. This factory high-performance cam from VW features 226°/225° duration and .440" lift. While offering improved performance, the idle quality can be fair on OBD1 systems but may be rough on OBD2 Mk3, Mk4, and Mk6 cars. This camshaft is an ideal match for street-tuned CIS, OBD1, Mk3, and most Mk4 engines. However, it is not compatible with Mk4 California Jetta models from '03-'05 equipped with the 2.0L "BBW" engine. Additionally, engines utilizing Digifant management systems may benefit more from the 266 (270) camshaft. Installation Note: For OBDII 2.0L 8v ('95+) engines, it is recommended to use heavy-duty valve springs to ensure proper operation and longevity.
