The Zumbrota RAA440-1534B-P is a remanufactured 9.75" Independent Rear Suspension (IRS) axle assembly specifically for 2015-2017 Ford Expeditions with a 3.31 gear ratio and Posi-traction. Zumbrota Drivetrain Axle Assemblies are rebuilt to the highest quality standards, ensuring precision and reliability. Each assembly undergoes thorough inspection for straightness, cracks, and surface wear. All internal components, including ring and pinions, internal gears, clutches, and carriers, are fully inspected and tested. All bearings, seals, crush sleeves, pinion nuts, and shims are replaced. The remanufacturing process includes inspection of gears for optimal tooth contact patterns and correct rolling torque using inch-pound measurements for precise setup and longevity. Gear backlash is set to ensure proper lubrication and quiet operation. Axle tubes are inspected for OEM standards of straightness. Zumbrota utilizes an exclusive hydro-blast rinse and sandblasting procedure, followed by a proprietary shot-peening deep cleaning process for internal and external parts. Units are shipped in high-density plastic totes to help eliminate in-transit damage. The fluid capacity is 3 quarts, requiring Non-Synthetic 80w-90 fluid, which is not included.
