Description

The IM2.5 Monotube suspension series features aircraft-grade 6061-T6 Aluminium for 30% weight reduction over steel and improved cooling (4x thermal conductivity of steel). It has a CNC ported billet aluminium piston with an O-Ring sealed PTFE-Teflon band for fine-tuned damping. The billet aluminium Internal Floating Piston (IFP) uses NOK seals to separate 200PSI nitrogen gas from Fuchs hydraulic oil. The shock absorber tube has a 3-4mm wall thickness with Type 2 anodising for durability. The monotube design allows for 'upside down' mounting, keeping the body away from debris, with a 20mm hardened steel piston rod protected by a dirtshield.
