The Metco Motorsports 90mm Idler Pulley is a precision-engineered component designed to replace or upgrade OEM idler pulleys in specific high-performance Ford vehicles. Sized to match the popular 3.55" idler pulleys used in the blower drive systems of the 2003-2004 Mustang Cobra and 1999-2004 Lightning, this pulley offers a durable solution to common idler pulley failures. Constructed from certified 6061 billet aluminum, each pulley is CNC-machined to ensure accuracy, with the bearing bore and belt surface machined in the same operation to prevent runout or wobble. A hardcoat anodizing is applied to critical surfaces for enhanced strength, corrosion resistance, and reduced belt noise. The pulley utilizes high-speed, high-load bearings with robust steel rollers, heavy grease, and double seals for longevity under demanding conditions. Each unit includes a billet bearing cover and stainless steel fasteners. This 90mm pulley is offered in multiple configurations to suit various belt systems. The 8-rib (1.5" wide) single-bearing version is a direct replacement for the supercharger drive on Mustang Cobra, Lightning trucks, and Harley Davidson F150 applications, aiming to provide a permanent fix for OEM pulley issues. For severe applications with high belt loads and boost levels, the 10-rib (1.75" wide) double-bearing pulley is recommended, offering increased load capacity by utilizing two heavy-duty bearings. A 6-rib (1.25" wide) version is also available. Note that the 10-rib pulleys are wider than the original equipment.
