Fabricated from aerospace-grade Type 304, non-magnetic stainless steel, this downpipe is built for durability and resistance to discoloration. Its larger diameter, measuring 94mm (3.7 inches) at the turbo outlet and tapering to 80mm (3.15 inches), optimizes gas flow for increased efficiency and a noticeable difference in sound. This downpipe incorporates a 200 CPSI HJS sports catalyst. It is crucial to note that this part requires a stage 2 ECU software tune for proper operation. Additionally, the use of sports catalysts like this one is intended for off-road or motorsport use only, and may render the vehicle unable to pass MOT tests or be legal for road use, as only EC type-approved components are road legal. Specifically, this downpipe fits the Golf Mk8 R 2.0 TSI 320PS models equipped with a GPF from 2021 onwards. It is also compatible with Audi S3 8Y 2.0 TSI models. The product includes a fitting kit.
