The AWE Tuning Porsche 997.2TT Performance Intercooler Kit is engineered to significantly reduce intake air temperatures for consistent power delivery. Developed during the creation of AWE's high-horsepower turbo kits, these intercoolers address the issue of excessively high intake air temperatures experienced with stock components. With cores that are 37% larger than stock (422 cubic inches vs. 308 cubic inches), these units employ a high-flow bar and plate design optimized for charge row and fin count specifications. This design not only improves intake temperatures but also offers reduced pressure drop across the core. The kit includes durable 6-ply silicone hoses reinforced with Nomex braiding for superior strength and gentle curves to prevent bursting. These hoses are secured with stainless steel high-force t-bolt clamps and feature a molded lip for a secure connection to the turbos, mimicking the factory locking mechanism. Installation is designed as a "drop-in" replacement with minimal trimming required. The AWE Tuning Performance Intercoolers are designed for the 2010-2011 Porsche 911 Turbo and the 2011 Porsche 911 Turbo S models.
