A/C Receiver Drier

The Mahle AD169000S is an A/C receiver drier/accumulator designed to trap moisture and impurities within an air conditioning system. It functions as a filter, removing moisture and debris from the refrigerant to ensure efficient operation and prevent damage. This component is critical for maintaining the integrity of the A/C system, especially in vehicles utilizing a thermal expansion valve.

Located on the high-pressure side of the A/C system, between the condenser and expansion valve, the receiver drier contains a desiccant material that absorbs moisture. Moisture in the A/C system can lead to corrosion, ice formation, and component damage. The AD169000S should be replaced whenever the A/C system is opened for repairs or component replacement, as the desiccant has a limited capacity and can become saturated when exposed to the atmosphere.
