The VIS Racing A Spec Style hood is an upgrade designed to enhance both the aesthetics and performance of your Volkswagen Golf 7, specifically for the 2015-2021 model years. It is also compatible with the 2017 Volkswagen Golf Alltrack and 2015-2019 Volkswagen Golf SportWagen. Constructed from 100% ISO-certified, Grade-A carbon fiber, this hood features a two-part design with a carbon fiber top layer bonded with high-grade epoxy resin and finished with an ultra-clear, UV-protective Poly Shield for a high-gloss appearance. The innovative Vacuum Infusion Process (V.I.P.) used in its creation results in a hood that is 10-20% lighter than previous models, contributing to improved durability and a more aggressive look. The weight savings offered by this carbon fiber hood can lead to improved handling by lowering the vehicle's center of gravity, which is particularly beneficial for spirited driving or track use.
