A Valve Body Repair Kit

The TransGo SK 45RFE-A Shift Kit® is a comprehensive valve body repair kit engineered to resolve common issues found in 45RFE, 545RFE, 65RFE, 66RFE, and 68RFE automatic transmissions. This kit is specifically designed for 1999 to 2018 model year Chrysler, Dodge, RAM, and Jeep vehicles equipped with these transmissions. Transmissions using these units often exhibit problems like rough lock-up apply, TCC slide bang, TCC slip codes, excessive transmission cooler pressure, and converter drain-back. A frequent cause is wear in the TC limit valve bore within the pump, which can be so severe that pump replacement seems necessary. This TransGo kit introduces an innovative drop-in TC limit valve system that effectively restores TC limit system function in both early and late pump designs, regardless of the extent of bore wear, thereby avoiding the expense of a new pump. Key features and benefits include a new drop-in torque converter limit valve system for both early and late pumps, which saves on pump replacement costs. It also recalibrates the TCC accumulator system for optimal converter clutch apply. Additionally, a heavy-duty snap ring for the underdrive/overdrive pressure plate is included to prevent snap ring blow-out. The kit corrects or prevents issues such as rough lock-up, TCC slide bang, TCC slip codes, low line pressure code P0868, drain-back, and limp-in mode. Included components are a new drop-in torque converter limit valve system, a heavy-duty accumulator plate/cover, overdrive accumulator spacer washer, two spare accumulator springs, a replacement self-cleaning low/reverse switch valve, end plug, engineered accumulator seals, a heavy-duty snap ring for the input drum, and TCC accumulator springs and retainer. Installation requires transmission removal.
