A518/46RH/46RE/A618/47RH/47RE Shift Kit

The TransGo TFOD-Diesel SHIFT KIT® is a comprehensive valve body repair kit engineered for 1988-2003 Dodge, Ram, and Jeep vehicles utilizing the A518, 46RH, 46RE, A618, 47RH, and 47RE TorqueFlite four-speed automatic transmissions. This kit addresses prevalent transmission issues including TCC slip or shudder, 2nd gear band failure, and direct clutch failure. It also significantly reduces torque converter drain-back. The internal components are built for higher operating pressures, with a maximum main line pressure of 125 psi in 1st, 2nd, and 3rd gear, increasing to 150 psi in 4th gear or in lock-up. This results in increased torque capacity for all friction elements, including the TCC clutch, making it ideal for heavy-duty work trucks and towing applications. Installation can be performed with the transmission in the truck, or on the bench for overhaul, as internal sealing rings are included. The kit contributes to a more responsive driving experience with short, clean shifts that are free from harshness. Important fitment exclusions apply: This kit does not fit the 48RE transmission. Additionally, it is not compatible with 2003 Dodge trucks identified by the 8th VIN code of 'C'.
