The TruFiber A53 Ram Air Hood is a carbon fiber hood designed for 2005-2009 Ford Mustang V6 and GT models. It features a show-quality finish and a smooth black gel coat on the underside. This hood incorporates a functional heat extractor and an integrated stainless mesh grille, with reinforced metal latch and hinge plates for added safety. It is a direct bolt-on installation using OEM hardware.

The TruFiber A53 Ram Air Hood is a premium exterior upgrade for 2005-2009 Ford Mustang V6 and GT models. Constructed from infused real carbon fiber with a 3K, 2x2 twill weave, this hood boasts a show-quality finish and a smooth black gel coat on the bottom side. Beyond its aesthetic appeal, this hood features a fully functional ram air system, with a cool air intake that directs air to the OEM air box location. It also includes a functional heat extractor that vents hot air through two open vents. For enhanced durability and safety, it incorporates reinforced metal latch and hinge plates, along with an integrated stainless mesh grille. Weighing approximately 35 pounds, this carbon fiber hood offers a significant weight reduction over stock. It's important to note that for safety, hood pins are required for all aftermarket hoods; the Shelby Black Billet Hood Pin Kit (HDPK7) is recommended. This TruFiber hood is specifically designed for the 2005, 2006, 2007, 2008, and 2009 model years of the Ford Mustang V6 and GT.
