Overview

The Trufiber A53KR is a fiberglass hood designed for 2010-2014 Ford Mustang GT500 and 2013-2014 V6/GT models. It features a functional ram air kit to direct cool air to the OEM air box and heat extractor vents to release hot air. The hood is constructed from hand-laid fiberglass with a smooth gel coat finish on both sides and includes an integrated stainless mesh grille. It is shipped unpainted and requires prep work before painting.

The Trufiber A53KR Ram Air Hood is engineered to transform your 2010-2014 Mustang GT500 or 2013-2014 V6/GT into a more aggressive-looking machine. This hood boasts a fully functional ram air kit that funnels cool air into the engine compartment and towards the OEM air box location. Additionally, it features removable heat extractor vents that allow hot air to escape, potentially improving engine performance and horsepower. For added safety and security, it includes reinforced metal latch and hinge plates, an integrated stainless mesh grille, and pre-drilled holes for the prop rod. The approximate weight of this hood is 40 pounds. Installation is designed as a direct bolt-on using OEM hardware. However, please note that this hood requires pre-painting preparation, including prepping and priming. It also requires the Trufiber Universal Windshield Washer Relocator Kit (sold separately, part number HW3494). While not mandatory, the installation of hood pins is highly recommended for the secure attachment of any aftermarket hood.
