It is specifically designed for 2001-2007 GM 3500 Pickup trucks with Dual Rear Wheels (DRW), accommodating both automatic (A/T) and 5-speed manual (M/T) transmissions. This assembly features a 3.73 gear ratio, a full-floating axle type, and is equipped for vehicles with the JH7 brake option and a 1415 series 30mm U-joint yoke. Zumbrota Drivetrain meticulously rebuilds each axle assembly to exacting standards. The process begins with a thorough inspection of all tubes for straightness, along with housings checked for surface wear and cracks. Internally, every component, including the ring and pinions, gears, clutches, and carriers, undergoes a 100% inspection. Critical wear items such as all bearings, seals, crush sleeves, pinion nuts, and shims are replaced to ensure optimal performance and longevity. Furthermore, Zumbrota employs an exclusive hydro-blast rinse and sandblasting procedure, followed by a proprietary deep cleaning process, setting a high standard for remanufactured axle assemblies. The gears are inspected for ideal tooth contact patterns, and rolling torque is precisely set using inch-pound measurements.
