Overview

The CJM Industries AC vent pod is a single gauge pod designed to fit left-hand drive MK7 GTI and Golf R models from 2015-2020. It replaces the left-side air vent, providing a mounting location for one 2 1/16" (52mm) gauge. Installation requires the removal of the vertical inner vent fins, but the OEM vent open/close dial will retain normal functionality. Note that some gauges may overheat when the flap is open with the heater on.

The CJM Industries AC vent pod is specifically engineered for left-hand drive MK7 GTI and Golf R vehicles manufactured between 2015 and 2020. This pod seamlessly replaces the factory left-side air vent, creating a dedicated space to mount a single 2 1/16" (52mm) gauge. Installation involves removing the vertical inner vent fins. While the original vent open/close dial will continue to function, users should be mindful of normal operating temperatures for their chosen gauge, as some can overheat when the flap is open and the heater is active. The pod features a 2-inch (50mm) depth and is compatible with gauges from brands such as Prosport, AEM (standard/X-series), Glowshift electronic, and Revel. However, Autometer and APR mechanical gauges are too deep for this standard pod; custom deeper pods are available by contacting CJM Industries directly. The product is 3D printed using engineering-grade ABS, ASA, or Polycarbonate filaments with UV additives for durability. It comes in a satin black finish that can be sanded and painted. Gauges are sold separately.
