Overview

This set includes four YCP pistons, pins, and clips, along with a complete ring set. These pistons are made from a stronger casting (AC8A Grade) than OEM, are T-6 heat treated for greater strength, and are highly resistant to heat.

This kit includes four YCP pistons, accompanied by pins and clips, as well as a full ring set. The pistons are constructed from a high-strength AC8A Grade casting, surpassing OEM standards, and undergo T-6 heat treatment to enhance durability. Their high resistance to heat makes them suitable for demanding performance scenarios. These pistons feature 19mm floating wristpins compatible with aftermarket D16 forged connecting rods. Dual oil holes are incorporated for superior wristpin lubrication, and a Teflon coating is applied to increase piston life, improve cylinder sealing by reducing blow-by, and ultimately free up more power by lowering friction. The manufacturer, Yong Chiang Piston Co., Ltd., has been a leader in automotive components since 1989, offering reliability, performance, and value. Installation requires attention to detail, with a recommendation to orient the pistons with arrows pointing towards the flywheel for correct valve relief orientation and piston pin offset. Specific clearances are recommended: Piston To Wall Clearance at .0025", Top Piston Ring End Gap between .020" - .024", Second Piston Ring End Gap between .020" - .024", and Oil Control Rings End Gap at a minimum of .015".
