The ACDelco Iridium Spark Plug 41-108 serves as an exact replacement for your vehicle's original components, offering the latest in spark plug technology. Engineered and tested to rigorous standards, these plugs feature an iridium composition that provides a high melting point and great strength, ensuring excellent wear resistance and durability. It includes a three-piece fired-in suppressor seal that meters spark energy for long electrode life, helps prevent combustion leakage, and blocks radio frequencies that could interfere with vehicle electronics. The laser-welding process provides precision welds, reducing debris and wear rate for increased longevity. Specifications include a copper center electrode core, an iridium center electrode tip, and a platinum ground electrode tip. The insulator height is 2.07 inches, made from aluminum oxide, with a pre-gap size of 0.04 inches and a reach of 0.984 inches. It also features a tapered seat type and a resistor type. For the LTG engine, ZZPerformance recommends a .028" gap depending on overall power level, but emphasizes the need for a proper gapping tool due to the fragile tip. The OEM torque spec is 15 ft-lbs, and it's advised not to tighten spark plugs on a hot engine.
