Description

The ACL 5M1549-.50 is a main bearing set designed for engine applications. It is constructed from rolled aluminum-tin material, indicated by the F147 code, with a composition of 91% Aluminum, 6% Tin, 1.5% Silicon, 1% Copper, and 0.5% Nickel.

These bearings feature a multi-layered construction. This includes a high-tensile SAE1010 steel backing for strength, a nickel barrier layer for separation, and a copper-lead-tin lining for fatigue strength and deformability. An overlay alloy of Lead-Tin-Copper provides seizure resistance and low friction.
