The Calico Coated ACL Race Rod Bearing Set is engineered for VW and Audi 2.5L 5-cylinder engines, providing enhanced performance and durability. The added Calico Dry Film Lubricant coating further elevates reliability and strength, making them capable of withstanding the increased stress from higher power output and demanding engine conditions. Fitment is specified for a range of Audi TTRS (2008-2015 8J and 2015+ 8S) and RS3 (2006-2013 8P and 2015+ 8V) models with the 2.5L FSI 5-cylinder engine. VW applications include Golf (2010-2014 MK6), Rabbit (2006-2009 MK5), Jetta & Jetta GLI (2006-2010 MK5 and 2010-2014 MK6), Jetta SportWagen (2011-2014 MK6), and Beetle (1998-2011 1C/9C/1Y and 2011-2015 MK2) models, all equipped with the 2.5L engine. Important fitment information: these bearings will not fit in a standard 07K rod. Users are required to purchase aftermarket rods because these bearings feature an additional tang not present on standard OEM bearings. This distinction is crucial for ensuring proper installation and performance, as discovered by at least one user who noted the need for aftermarket rods to accommodate this difference.
