The 3M 06382 Automotive Acrylic Plus Attachment Tape is a black, acrylic foam tape designed for bonding automotive components. It features two different adhesives, one formulated for automotive paint systems and the other for metals and plastics. This tape provides excellent initial tack and builds to a permanent bond, with a viscoelastic foam core that conforms to complex shapes.

The 3M 06382 Automotive Acrylic Plus Attachment Tape is an OEM-approved attachment tape specifically engineered for bonding exterior trim and other parts to automotive substrates. This tape utilizes a black acrylic foam core with two distinct adhesives to effectively join a wide range of materials. The liner-side acrylate adhesive offers very high initial and final adhesion to various traditional and scratch-optimized auto paint systems. The non-liner-side adhesive is formulated to bond with common automotive plastics and metals such as polypropylene (PP), PP/ethylene propylene diene monomer (EPDM), and thermoplastic polyolefin (TPO). The black color of the tape also aids in creating sharp bond lines. A red, 3M-branded liner ensures easy one-piece release for efficient application. The tape has a thickness of 0.045 inches (1.12 mm) and comes in a 0.5-inch width and a 20-yard length. Recommended uses for this tape include antenna housings, body side moldings, claddings, fascia, pillars, rocker panels, roof ditch moldings, side mirrors, sill plates, and step pads.
