The MB10-HDG4 kit features ACT's most popular Heavy Duty pressure plate, which uses an exclusive diaphragm design to increase clamp load, reduce deflection, and maximize clutch life. The diaphragms are heat-treated in a four-stage process for unparalleled performance, and precision cover stampings provide rigidity and consistency. The 4-pad spring-centered race disc properly damps torsional vibrations for quieter operation and resists failure under harsh conditions. ACT spring retainers have wraparound spring windows and thicker retainer stampings for enhanced spring support, reduced stress concentrations, and increased strength and reliability. While engagement is harsher with this 4-pad spring-centered race disc, shifting is faster, making it well-suited for smaller disc sizes in smaller engines. The kit also includes Monoloc, a one-piece, direct replacement or upgrade for standard two-piece wedge collar and wire ring pull-type clutches. Monoloc's spring tension is carefully calculated for optimal performance, providing uniform loading on the bearing and pressure plate to assure proper alignment. It is constructed from hardened Chrome-moly steel for years of reliable service.
