The ACT ME2-HDSS is a performance street sprung clutch kit that includes ACT's popular Heavy Duty pressure plate and sprung street disc. Its precision cover stampings ensure rigidity and consistent performance. The kit's performance street disc utilizes premium organic materials with high copper content for enhanced heat transfer and a steel-backed lining for superior burst strength and durability. These discs also feature a reduced marcel for quicker shift action. It may produce OE to mild gear rattle but provides confidence during hard shifts. The kit is 100% clamp load tested and dynamically computer balanced for reliable high RPM performance. The inclusion of ACT's patented Monoloc provides a one-piece, direct replacement for standard wedge collar and wire ring components in pull-type clutches, ensuring proper alignment and longevity due to its hardened chrome-moly steel construction. Specifications include an organic disc material, 23 spline count, 9.4-inch (240mm) friction surface diameter, and a 1-inch input shaft diameter. The Heavy Duty pressure plate offers a torque capacity of 530 ft-lbs, which is approximately 45% over OE. The kit includes the performance street sprung disc, heavy duty pressure plate, release bearing, and an alignment tool. It is backed by a 12-month manufacturer warranty. This clutch kit is specifically designed for the 2003-2006 Mitsubishi Evo 8/9.
