The MODE Auto Concepts Hobbs Switch serves as a crucial component for triggering accessories based on boost pressure. This device functions as a simple on-off switch, remaining normally off until a predetermined boost level is achieved. Available in either 4psi or 15psi options, this switch is designed for various applications. The 4psi option is recommended for stock fuel pumps or for triggering a meth pump, while the 15psi option is suitable for upgraded pumps, particularly for Stage 3 or Stage 4 LPFP systems. It also includes a 6-foot trigger ground wire and a 12-inch wire for chassis ground. Installation involves connecting the two contacts of the Hobbs switch: one to chassis ground and the other to the accessory's ground trigger wire. The switch is adjustable, allowing for fine-tuning of the activation pressure by approximately 3-4psi via an Allen wrench. Care should be taken to make small adjustments to avoid locking out the switch. Rotating the adjustment screw clockwise increases the boost pressure required for activation.
