Adjustable Clutch Cable

The Steeda adjustable clutch cable is a precision-engineered solution designed for 1996-2004 Ford Mustang GT, Bullitt, and Cobra models. Unlike stock components manufactured from galvanized steel, this unit utilizes a stainless steel inner cable that resists rust-through and degradation over time. The assembly incorporates a low-friction Teflon lining to ensure smooth operation and features a robust, high-durometer bushing at the firewall to prevent premature splitting, which is a common failure point for lesser-quality replacement bushings. Adjustment of the clutch pedal engagement point is easily performed by rotating the nut located at the end of the cable. This functionality allows for fine-tuning of the clutch feel, though successful operation requires the concurrent use of an aftermarket quadrant, such as the Steeda Double Hook Quadrant. This cable is specifically engineered with the correct length and bracket geometry for a direct bolt-in installation on the 1996-2004 Mustang chassis; it is not compatible with 1979-1995 Mustang models, which require a different part number. All cables shown for this application must be paired with an aftermarket quadrant for proper installation and adjustment. Failure to use a compatible quadrant will prevent the adjustability features from functioning as intended.
