The cam gears are lightweight at 350 grams for the alloy outer with fasteners, compared to OEM static gears which weigh 550 grams.

Introducing the V2 1UZ Alloy Cam Gear Set from Cam Gears. This redesigned cam gear set features enhanced centers and an incorporated trigger backing plate for improved performance and aesthetics in 1UZ builds. The gears utilize a combination of a unique serrated mechanical lock and a standard friction lock, along with all titanium hardware, to prevent any movement and minimize rotational mass to just 350 grams for the alloy outer with fasteners. This is a significant reduction compared to the 550-gram weight of OEM static gears. For ease of adjustment, the set includes an adjusting spigot that attaches to a half-inch ratchet, eliminating the need for blunt objects and hammers. These cam gears are available in the full PRP 12 color range, and titanium bolts are included for positional adjustment. IMPORTANT FITMENT NOTE: These cam gears are specifically designed for the 1UZ-FE Non-VVTI engines. Critical information regarding installation includes ensuring that the adjustment bolts are tightened, as they are not supplied torqued. The plastic adjustment tool must be removed before running the engine to prevent potential engine damage. Buyers can choose to purchase the cam gears alone or opt for a set that includes a Billet Retainer Plate and Titanium Bolt to secure each cam gear onto the camshafts.
