Adjustable Phaser Lock Kit Ford 5.0L Coyote

The COMP Cams 5492 is an adjustable phaser lock kit designed for Ford 5.0L Modular V8 engines. This patent-pending kit allows for fully adjustable locking over the OEM phaser range of 50 degrees. It utilizes a stock timing set, phaser system, and special bolts with plugs and slotted degree plates for accurate adjustment.

These phaser locks are easy to adjust on the engine and include a mark for 4 crank degrees (2 cam degrees) on the outer diameter. They are essential for aftermarket Race cams, ensuring adequate piston-to-valve clearance and precise centerline control at very high RPM under extreme conditions, independent of computer mapping. Locking is also required when using aftermarket EFI systems like FAST XFI and XFI 2.0.
