Adjustable Rear Shock w/ 450# Spring

The TBparts adjustable rear shock is engineered to enhance the performance of the Kawasaki KLX140 for MX racing. It utilizes a robust 450# spring, providing a firmer base for aggressive riding and allowing the suspension to be pushed harder. The shock features adjustable compression and rebound damping, offering superior control and the ability to fine-tune the suspension to specific preferences and track conditions, a significant improvement over the OEM shock. With a 100mm stroke, this rear shock provides at least 14mm more travel than the stock KLX140L shock, which measured 86mm. This increased travel contributes to better handling and performance over rough terrain. The shock is designed as a direct bolt-on, requiring no modifications for installation on any KLX140 model. It includes new bushings for a smooth installation. For optimal performance and to avoid premature wear or improper function, it is recommended to inspect OEM shock bolts, linkage bolts, and bushings/bearings for wear or bending before installation. Maintaining proper torque on linkage bolts is also crucial. While this rear shock is compatible with all KLX140 models, it is advised to at least equip HD fork springs, as the stock front fork springs are noted to be very soft, to balance the suspension setup.
