Designed for both front and rear suspension applications, these shock absorbers feature a maximum extended length of 380mm and a maximum compressed length of 265mm. They are equipped with fully adjustable gas dampers, offering 36 distinct settings for precise control over damping and rebound. The external adjustment knob allows for easy, on-vehicle tuning. These GAZ GT adjustable double loop rear shock absorbers are rigorously tested on a dynamometer and individually numbered to ensure quality and consistency. They are also fully rebuildable, providing a long-term, cost-effective solution for maintaining optimal suspension performance. The shocks are finished with a Gold Cadmium plating for enhanced corrosion resistance and are supplied as a pair with a 3-year warranty. Fitment includes Volkswagen Beetle (1950-1979 for rear, 1950-1965 for front), Karmann Ghia (1960-1974 for rear, 1950-1965 for front), Split Bus (1950-1967 for front and rear), Baywindow Bus (1968-1979 for rear), and Type 3 (1962-1973 for front and rear). It is crucial to measure the distance between shock mountings on your vehicle with its road wheels on the ground to ensure correct length selection, aiming for at least 50cm of suspension travel. Prior to fitting, always pump the shock absorbers a few times correctly to remove any storage-induced air bubbles.
