Overview

It offers a 32 to 40% reduction in shifter throw compared to stock, providing quicker and more engaging shifts. This short shifter is uniquely height-adjustable, allowing for further customization of the driver's preferred shifter position.

The shift levers and bearing cup assembly are CNC machined from durable 6061-T6 aluminum. The kit includes a black Delrin shift knob and features a "Quick Change" rally lever extension that allows for easy swapping between standard and rally-style upper shift levers.

It significantly reduces shifter throw by 32 to 40% over the stock unit, enabling quicker gear changes. A key feature is its height adjustability, allowing drivers to fine-tune the shifter's position within a 22mm range for optimal comfort and control. Built with premium materials for durability and performance, the lower shifter assembly utilizes a melonite-coated 4140 chromoly steel construction with a 304 stainless steel shifter ball and Nylatron® NSM bushings to minimize play. The shift levers and the bearing cup assembly are CNC machined from 6061-T6 aluminum, providing superior strength and corrosion resistance. This design ensures a crisp shifter feel and a more connected driving experience. A "Quick Change" rally lever extension is included, offering versatility by allowing drivers to easily switch between a standard height shifter and a longer, rally-style lever. The added height of the rally lever can keep both hands closer to the steering wheel during shifts, which is beneficial for track driving and daily use alike. The shifter height can be adjusted from within the vehicle using small hex head keys, facilitating easy fine-tuning after installation. The kit includes a black Delrin shift knob and a standard shift lever compatible with Genuine BMW factory and aftermarket shift knobs. Note that resonance may be experienced with factory base model shift knobs; ZHP, M, or M Performance knobs are recommended for an improved feel.
