Adjustable Short Throw Shifter

The Cobb Tuning Adjustable Short Throw Shifter Wide Barrel is a direct-fit replacement for 2002-2007 Subaru WRX 5-speed manual transmissions. This shifter provides a double-adjustable throw reduction, allowing you to select either a 15% or 35% reduction in shift throw length by repositioning the adjustment point on the shifter body. The 35% setting is the most popular for a shorter, more decisive shift action, while the 15% setting offers a moderate improvement with minimal change to factory geometry. The wide barrel design of this shifter offers a larger contact area for your hand, providing a different ergonomic feel during shifting. It installs directly into the factory location using existing mounting points, meaning no modifications to the transmission tunnel or floor are necessary. The shift knob threads onto the Cobb shifter shaft with the same pitch as the factory shaft, ensuring compatibility with both factory and Cobb shift knobs. The shifter body is constructed from aluminum and is finished in black. This kit includes the Cobb Adjustable Short Throw Shifter Wide Barrel, adjustment hardware, and installation instructions. It is designed to be a standalone component for drivetrain upgrades, and can be paired with a Cobb bushing kit and a weighted shift knob for a complete Stage 1+ experience.
