The IPD Adjustable Torque Rods are L & R rear axle components designed to address driveshaft angle issues in 1975-1993 Volvo 240, 242, 244, and 245 models. These heavy-duty units feature polyurethane bushings and adjustable ends, allowing for precise adjustments to the pinion angle of the differential relative to the driveshaft. The adjustability provides 0.050 inches of length change per half rotation, with a minimum length of 14.5 inches and a maximum length of 17.125 inches. These torque rods are particularly beneficial for vehicles experiencing driveshaft shudder during heavy acceleration or downshifting due to misalignment. They are an ideal solution for vehicles that have been converted to a one-piece driveshaft. The product description notes that the powder coating may be flaking and there may be some rust, but the components are still in great shape. This part is a used item, removed from a 1992 Volvo 245.
