Adjustable Transmission Crossmember

The Dirty Dingo adjustable transmission cross member is engineered for 2WD 1988-1998 C1500, C2500, and C3500 OBS GMT400 Trucks, Blazers, and Suburbans. Some GMT400 models, including 2500s and SUVs, were produced until 2000, and 3500s until 2002, and this cross member is compatible with those extended production runs. It is designed to bolt to the frame using existing transmission mounting holes, with an adjustable center tab that can be flipped to accommodate taller 1-ton C3500 frames. This adjustable cross member facilitates the use of numerous transmissions such as Powerglide, TH350, TH400, 700R4, 4L60, 4L65, 4L70, 4L75, 4L80, 6L80, and 6L90, allowing for precise adjustment without drilling new holes into the frame. Constructed from 1 3/4" diameter DOM seamless tubing with 1/4" plates, it offers clearance for long tube headers and exhaust systems up to 4" in diameter. The crossmember mounts above the frame rails, providing clearance even when the frame is lowered to the pavement. Installation includes grade-8 bolts, washers, and teflon locking nuts. The 'D' and 'P' designations indicate Driver and Passenger sides, respectively, with arrows pointing towards the vehicle's nose. The perch is typically oriented forward but can be reversed if necessary for specific applications. The product is available in a raw steel finish or a textured black powder coat, with an optional transmission mount available separately. It can be used with Anchor transmission mount 2268 or Energy Suspension 3.1108G.
