The ECUMaster ADU7 Advanced Display Unit is a feature-rich, customizable solution designed for competitive drivers who require critical information displayed clearly, along with robust logging capabilities. Developed in response to market demand for a cost-effective dash display, the ADU7 aims to exceed the requirements of professional drivers and race engineers. The unit boasts a 7-inch, high-resolution (800x480) anti-glare TFT display, ensuring perfect visibility under all lighting conditions. Users can customize pre-configured pages to show data relevant to specific race stages, such as practice, qualification, or race conditions. These pages can be changed manually or automatically based on defined parameters. The display's content, including gauges, icons, and text, can be easily modified in real-time using Windows-based software. A comprehensive overlay system allows for the display of important data, like low oil pressure or best lap times, independently of the current page. For enhanced driver feedback and alerts, the ADU7 features 15 ultra-bright RGB LEDs that can function as a gear-dependent shift light or be programmed for user-defined logic, such as alarms or low fuel level warnings. The unit also integrates a powerful lap timer with predictive timing, capable of using IR beacons or GPS. For advanced thermal monitoring, it supports thermal cameras to track brake disc or tire temperatures at up to 16 points per tire. Communication is handled via two independent CAN-BUS ports (2.0B, supporting 250, 500, 1000 kbps) with pre-configured templates for popular ECUs, allowing seamless integration with virtually any engine management system. Data logging to a USB Flash drive is supported at frequencies up to 500Hz per channel. The ADU7 is built with a 32-bit controller and a high-performance graphics processor, ensuring smooth, anti-aliased graphics at 50 frames per second. It is housed in a rugged, CNC-machined, black anodized aluminum enclosure with IP65 protection. The device operates on a 6-22V voltage range with reverse polarity protection and immunity to transients per ISO 7637. Additional features include 8 analog inputs, 8 digital inputs, 2 protected low-side outputs, a built-in 3-axis accelerometer and gyro, a light sensor for auto-brightness, and a real-time clock with battery backup. Free firmware upgrades are available to further enhance system capabilities.
