Advanced Sequential LED Tail Lights

The Dapper Lighting Advanced Sequential LED Tail Lights (CST kits) are direct replacements for the incandescent bulbs found in classic 1974-1978 Datsun 260Z and 280Z vehicles. These kits feature high-efficiency LEDs to increase tail light brightness, reliability, and overall lifespan. They fully replace the functionality of the original bulbs, including running light illumination, brake light illumination, turn signal illumination, and emergency flash. The integrated microprocessor enables six different sequential lighting patterns, eliminating the need for a separate control module. For proper LED functionality, a Low Current Flasher Module must be installed in place of the traditional turn signal flasher module. Backup lighting is not included and must be purchased separately. The panels operate on an input voltage of 11-15 volts and use standard 1156 & 1157 bulb base connections. Each panel draws a maximum of 0.16 amps at 13.8 volts and features 40 red LEDs, providing an illumination intensity of approximately 208,000 mcd. Installation is straightforward, involving mounting the LED panel to the tail light housing or lens and plugging the wired bulb plug(s) into the factory bulb socket(s). For sequential patterns, a pink wire must be connected to +12 volt ignition power. A pushbutton switch allows users to cycle through and select from the pre-programmed sequential patterns, with the selection being stored in memory. The design ensures no power draw from the battery when the vehicle is off, while still allowing running light, brake light, and emergency flasher functions.
